Texas Roadhouse Rolls

  • 2 tsp. active dry yeast
  • 1 C. warm milk
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1/4 C. plus 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 T melted butter
  • 3-4 C. all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg

the ingredients

  1. I used my bread machine dough setting to make this.
  2. Combine water, yeast and 1 tsp. sugar and let sit till foamy, about seven mins. Add in warm milk, melted butter, 1 beaten egg, sugar, salt and then flour. I ended up using about 3 1/2 C. flour. Once dough setting is complete, remove and knead a couple  more times on a floured surface. Pinch off gold ball size pieces and flatten just a touch and place on greased cookie sheet.
  3.  Allow to rise another hour and then bake at 350 degrees for twenty mins or until golden brown on top.
